I made this quite frequently when I had leftover french bread and tomatoes on hand.
Ingredients:
French Bread
Fresh Basil leaves
roma or grape tomatoes
lemon juice
salt and pepper
italian seasoning
olive oil
Bake or grill the bread with olive oil and Italian seasoning sprinkled over it.
Chop up the tomatoes and basil and put them into a bowel and add the salt and pepper and lemon juice.
When bread is crunchy, yet chewy, add the mixture to the top.
