I first began the fascination with food when I was in middle school. My mother would always be cooking and when she was still at work and I was home alone I would cook on my own. I slowly developed my own sense of style and taste that can still be displayed today in many of the things I create. To take food from normal, plain and everyday and make it special, inviting, and full of flavor was exactly what my little world needed. After I graduated from High School and moved in with a few room mates that never wanted to cook anything other than reheating something from frozen. I began to configure my art and taste into something truly extraordinary.
I began to watch the Food Network a lot more, including shows that of Emeril, Alton Brown, Giada, Anthony Bourdain, among many others. They became my inspiration, my motivation to become better. I merely watched and not experimented in the many forms of flavor they bestowed upon my eyes. I gained knowledge while only observing. Now I am wiser and a bit more steady with the knife, that I can venture off into the food world fearless. Much like Julia Child did while she attended Le Cordon Bleu.
My dishes can range from really simple, to easy fixes and shortcuts, and into somewhat complicated recipes. Feel free to ask questions or to inquire to your hearts' content.
May your muse be your tongue and the taste be your adventure!
